GOAL: In Section 2 you will learn about how to CREATE tables using Access. The main goal when creating Access tables is to minimize errors when entering data and to make entering data easy for the data entry person. To do that, you define fields in ways that make it easier to enter data and minimize errors such as using input masks, look up wizards, limiting field sizes, entering error messages, setting limits on field criteria, etc. The main reason to minimize errors in a database is because if the data is entered incorrectly, then searches, filters, queries, reports, relationships, etc. (anything you want to do with the data) will not return accurate results and the data will be flawed.
