PHOTOSHOP LESSON 1 PROJECT

Goal: Today you will have the opportunity to apply what you have learned in Photoshop Lesson 1 by manipulating your own photo and apply the following:

  1. Fill a vector shape with a pattern
  2. Add a mask to a vector layer
  3. Create a new custom shape
  4. Apply your new custom shape to your photo
  5. Apply a text layer

When you are done with your project for Lesson 1:

  1. Choose SAVE AS from the FILE MENU
  2. Choose to save to your Google Drive and toward the bottom of the Save As dialog box click the SAVE AS TYPE arrow and choose JPEG, give it a file name and click Save
  3. Send an email message to tracyweber@bellevue.k12.ia.us and ATTACH the JPEG you just created to the email message. In the email message tell me how you did the following to your project:
    1. Fill a vector shape with a pattern
    2. Add a mask to a vector layer
    3. Create a new custom shape
    4. Apply your new custom shape to your photo
    5. Apply a text layer

#2: FBLA Graphic Design Event–2018 NLC Topic Create a digital magazine spread for the FBLA publication, Tomorrow’s Business Leader. You must include a cover; a feature article on an FBLA program; an interview with an educator, professional member, or sponsor; and a promotional announcement for the 2018 National Leadership Conference in Baltimore. GRADING RUBRIC

#3: FBLA Publication Design Event–2018 NLC Topic: You have been hired to develop a publication portfolio for a new “fresh food” (i.e. prepared meals, ingredients to make meals, natural foods, etc.) home delivery service that will open soon in a community of about 250,000 residents. The business will be a delivery service. The business will have a variety of delivery options to meet the needs of different types of customers (i.e. meat, vegetarian, vegan, family, couples, gluten-free, etc.). The materials developed should clearly identify the target market and its products. Give the business a name. The portfolio should include a logo for the business, a poster to advertise the business, a business card, and three additional promotional products. GRADING RUBRIC

#4: FBLA Social Media Campaign Event–2018 NLC Topic: Create a social media marketing campaign to create buzz surrounding healthy eating and the opening of your new “fresh food” (i.e. prepared meals, ingredients to make meals, natural foods, etc.) home delivery service that will open soon in a community of about 250,000 residents. The business will be a delivery service. The business will have a variety of delivery options to meet the needs of different types of customers (i.e. meat, vegetarian, vegan, family, couples, gluten-free, etc.). The campaign should clearly identify the target market and its products. Give the business a name. The campaign must utilize a minimum of three different social media platforms. GRADING RUBRIC
