##### Lesson Objective

You will complete a series of levels using basic programming concepts such as sequencing, repetition, conditional logic and counting. Go on an epic quest for treasure with your own custom dragon. Defeat knights and solve mazes!

##### Lesson Notes
• You will design your own dragon and use it to hunt for treasure.
• You will need to keep track of direction and paths and program the dragon to follow the path
• Unlike Candy Quest where each block moves the character just one step forward, here the blocks move the dragon till the end of the path, or an obstacle.
• Some levels show a number on the bugs and the knights. You will need to keep count using loops to solve these levels.
• Some levels have Flags. These flags can be programmed to signal the dragon to move right, fly up, etc.

You will get creative as you create your own comic strip around a story or process. Be creative and think of different ideas and themes to use for the storyline. Make your own comic using speech bubbles and multiple comic tiles.

• You will use speech bubbles and the Wait block to create a conversation between Actors
• Create different kinds of stories. For example, you can change the background scene and characters and compose stories around what you are learning in your other classes.

• You can share these projects with everyone in the class.
• Let Mrs. Weber know when you are done and she will create a Class Showcase and make it public.

##### Lesson Objective

First, students solve a set of geometry puzzles where the program a racer to draw simple shapes and collect orbs. Then they make their own patterns using a library of math-inspired art.

Draw shapes, flowers, butterflies, fractals, spirals and make your own fun mathematical patterns.
