Here is a friendly reminder that Parent/Teacher Conferences are Wednesday, March 9 and Thursday, March 10 from 3:30 to 8:00 pm. I would like to meet with all the parents to discuss the progress of their child in my classes; however, I know schedules can be crazy and the times might not work for some of you. Please email me if you would like to meet at another time or if you would like to communicate through email about your child’s progress. Here is what I suggest to the students:

  1. Check JMC daily! This is your paycheck! I check mine–you should check your’s!! Teacher’s can make mistakes. Communicate with your teachers if you are concerned about your grade–email, shared Google Doc, face-to-face, etc. Whatever works!
  2. If you are behind or if you missed class, fill out a Comet Time Request to talk to your teacher and see what you missed. This is VERY impressive when a student does this–it shows initiative and a desire to work hard and achieve!
  3. Of course, if you are in one of my classes, please go to my website and see the lesson plan from the day you missed or if you are missing an assignment, check out the date of the assignment’s lesson plan and do it!
  4. Also, if you are in one of my classes, you can earn extra credit by using and/or sharing what you learned in my class, outside of my classroom–either at home or in another class! Just show me!
